About the maker

I’m Isabel, owner and designer of Isabel’s Patterns

I am based in Binningup a tiny coastal town in the south-west of Western Australia but I am originally from The Netherlands. I am providing downloadable womenswear sewing patterns in PDF and AO format, for you to be able to print off at home and make your own clothing.

I finished my fashion study in Amsterdam in 2016, where I learned to make custom-fit patterns and garments for womenswear. But I didn’t do much sewing and patternmaking for 5 years. I finally found my motivation back in 2021 and was stuck with the idea of making and selling my own pdf sewing patterns, in my head. After months of thinking about it, I finally took the step and started my own business in April of 2022 and started creating and sewing patterns.

I am always thinking about new designs and I am very excited when I finish my final products. The patterns I create
are mostly made for woven fabrics and I try to create timeless designs. The good thing about making your own clothes is that you get to choose the fabric and colour you want. Sewing clothes and finishing them makes me feel very happy and satisfied, I want you to have the same excitement, satisfaction and proud feeling when you finish my patterns, and I want to make your sewing journey more enjoyable!
